Based on the Grand Union Canal at Nash Mills, near Hemel Hempstead (see map) you will find our 3 canal boats ready to provide a day or holiday trip for a wide range of voluntary and community groups. We have 2 wide beam boats with a skipper and crew, which can be hired for day or residential trips, and one narrow boat, which is available to groups on a self-steer or skippered basis. With over 25 years of experience of using the canals we have gained a good reputation for work with groups, especially dealing with the needs of those with disabilities or special needs of whatever age.

Over 200 community, voluntary and youth groups make use of our canal boats each year, many of whom return again and again. Each group takes away something different from their trip but many enjoy the team building tasks, relationship building, self-development, education and inspiration provided by the canal boating experience. Many of these people have never had the chance to experience this type of pursuit before as many canal boats are unable to give access and support to people with disabilities.

Want to help?

We always welcome more helpers, and here is some text to encourage you to do just that!  Find out more about how to help
